2. THREE COIN MONTE  50¢

The effect is one of the world’s oldest. It emulates the Three Card Trick and Three Shell Game, and with the special props provided eliminates most of the hard practice. Done with coins and three metal covers (caps), it goes like this:-

Three coins are shown, two 25¢ coins, one 50¢ coin. The 50¢ coin is positioned in between the other two coins, and all three are covered with metal caps. Spectators are asked to keep their eyes on the cap covering the 50¢ coin, as you attempt to prove that the hand is quicker than the eye.

The metal caps are then moved quickly around and their positions interchanged. A spectator is requested to point out the 50¢ coin. The first time through the spectator is successful, but when the magician speeds up the action, the spectator fails to find the 50¢ coin each and every time, even when the position of the 50¢ coin is marked, no one can keep track of it. It’s here, there and everywhere, but never where they think it is.
